Finding the Best Mini Bike Clutch
I've been looking for a decent mini bike clutch that can withstand the beating my boys put on them. It seemed like every time I turned around I was replacing a clutch because they would burn them up! But I finally found my "go to" clutch that I use on all of my mini bikes and go karts I've had over the years.
The Hilliard Extreme-Duty Centrifugal Clutch - 3/4in. Bore, 12 Tooth, 35 Chain Size which is what I've been using and they work awesome! It's the best bang for the buck, believe me. You could buy a regular cheap go kart/mini bike clutch on Amazon for under $30 bucks, but the Hilliard Extreme-Duty clutch is one of the best affordable clutch's available at a fair price.
Remember: Your clutch should always be locked up otherwise it's slipping towards an early death! In a perfect world you found right gear and keep the clutch locked and you will have no problem ....
It's important to keep the clutch cool with proper maintenance. Overheating and having the lube in the wrong places lubricant kills most of the clutches. A few drops of oil around the bushing and snap ring located next to the little sprocket every few hours.
